WHY GOOD UX DESIGN IS MORE THAN A „NICE TO HAVE“

In our last article, we looked at why UX is an increasingly relevant factor for Google rankings. Today we go one step further: we show why UX design is far more than just pretty interfaces - and how it determines the success or failure of your website.

THE ART OF NOT STANDING IN THE WAY

Poor UX design stands out. Unfortunately. Think of a ticket machine that makes you fail every time you enter something - but you have to use it because you have no alternative.

It's different online: your users have a choice. If your site is confusing, slow or frustrating, they will leave. And to a provider who has better understood their needs. If you don't design digital touchpoints thoughtfully, you lose.

So UX means: don't stand in the way. But to lead. Inspire. Simplify.

WHAT MAKES GOOD UX DESIGN

The best UX experiences work like good hosts - they think for themselves, provide orientation and stay in the background.

This succeeds with:

  • Structure:
Content is organised like in a digital magazine - clearly, sensibly linked and logically nested. Cross-links replace the menu, the experience continues on its own.

  • Interaction:
Every action provides feedback. No dead ends, no dead ends.

  • Design
The interface is not only beautiful, but also purposeful. Buttons, images, animations - everything works for the same purpose.

  • Performance
Speed is a must. But what's more important is that everything works smoothly - even on mobile devices, even with complex content.

And the most important thing: users don't want to click. They want to understand.

WHO LEADS, WINS

A user-friendly website not only increases your visibility, but also acts like a good conversation: clear, inviting and convincing. People who visit your site should feel that they have been picked up - and not have to search for the instructions first.

UX is the silent door opener to better sales, greater brand loyalty and digital growth. And an increasingly loud ranking factor for Google.

In our next article, we will show you how you can use clearly defined personas to improve your UX strategy in the B2B sector in a targeted manner - and why you will not only look better, but also perform better.
